Fatehpur Sikri tourist harrassment complaint form

A recent visit to Fatehpur-Sikri turned into a nightmare due to non-stop harassment by the “guides”.  I am sure that my experience is not unique and this happens to most tourists who visit the place, especially foreigners.  I have created a form that people who have faced such harassment can use to send an e-mail to various authorities who deal with tourism in India and in Uttar Pradesh (the state that houses the Taj and Fatehpur Sikri).  E-mails you send will go to:

  1. Incredible India, the nodal organisation for tourism in India
  2. District Magistrate of Agra, the chief administrator of the district
  3. Director General of Tourism of Uttar Pradesh.
  4. A copy to me for the record.

Please take a moment to send them a mail if you faced harassment yourself.  If you are planning to visit Fatehpur Sikri, please send them a mail asking if the place is safe to visit.  Sufficient e-mails may get a response from the administration.
